Your content should stay yours.
This page describes how ByteAI handles information in the current early-access product.
Information you submit
When you use chat or an API feature, the text or image you submit is sent to ByteAI and the configured model or search provider to return the requested result. Public chat transcripts are not saved to ByteAI’s application database. Chat history in the browser workspace is stored in that browser’s local storage and can be removed by clearing browser data.
Account and usage information
If you request a sign-in link, ByteAI processes your email address and a short-lived verification token. Waitlist signups store the submitted email address and signup source. For API calls, ByteAI records the key identifier, task name, response status, duration, and timestamp for usage and service operation; it does not add prompt text to this usage record.
Service providers
AI, search, email, hosting, and infrastructure providers may process the information needed to provide their part of the service. Their own privacy terms apply to that processing. Do not submit sensitive personal, financial, health, or student information unless you have permission and a suitable agreement in place.
Choices and contact
You can clear locally stored chats in your browser. For requests about waitlist or account information, use the contact address shown in your ByteAI onboarding email or the ByteAI website.
